Well good morning there beautiful! It's a harvest of heirloom radishes today. These bright and colourful beauties are refreshingly crisp with a peppery taste and a delicious addition to salads, salsas, tacos, and perfect for pickling. I myself, love to enjoy them sprinkled with just a little sea salt. These heirlooms are one of this weeks features in our local share baskets and you bet that they will be our main feature in our lunch!

 

 I love this time of year on the farm. So much fresh and colourful produce to choose from. Our lunch basket is full of deliciousness, tomatoes, fresh mint, radishes, spring onions, cucumbers  and a bunch of spinach! We are ready to make our way to the farm kitchen and start planning today's lunch. 

 Lunch prep in the kitchen today features a harvest of heirloom radishes. Its a hot one out there and we definitely need something light and refreshing to cool everyone. A summer fresh salad using local organic ingredients and a herb & citrus vinaigrette is in the making!

 

 Lunch is served! Heirloom Radish, Tomato, Cucumber, Spring Onion with a Fresh Mint & Lime Vinaigrette. This summer salad is quick to put together and so fresh and delicious.
