Chewy Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Ingredients:

3 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp. kosher salt

½ tsp. cream of tartar

1 cup +1 tbsp. unsalted butter, softened

½ cup sugar

1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed

2 large eggs

1 tbsp. pure vanilla extract

1 tsp. baking soda

2 tsp. hot water

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chunks

 

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking matt.

Whisk together flour, salt and cream of tartar. Set aside.

In a large glass bowl, whip together butter, sugar and brown sugar until fluffy and smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time until well incorporated. Dissolve baking soda with hot water and add to mixture.

Add flour mixture to batter and stir until well incorporated. Stir in chocolate chunks.

Place a round tablespoon of batter on the cookie sheet ensuring you leave 3 inches between each cookie.

Bake cookies10-12 mins until lightly golden.

Remove from baking sheet and place on rack to cool.
